Steam games performance sucks completely 100% on a 8core amd 3,7ghz with amd radeon hd 7770 graphics card 8gb ram

I have an 8core Amd Fx 3,70ghz cpu 8gbytes ram , graphics card amd radeon hd 7770 and i'm running xubuntu 13.04 and i have absolutely no performance at all !
Even my old netbook can run these games on windows better than my pc.
Its a failure i believe i can't find any other reasons, either linux sucks or steam games have problem i dont know....

Here is a few thiings that my help:
1. Get a better Graphics Card (Yours is not exactly that good)
2. You might have a problem with your system i.e. Virus/Corrupt Files.

did you install your Drivers Properly AND are you sure you got everything?
Hows the Internet speed, anything that might cause lagg online?

and i'm not Sure about using Linux.. that Might be something you can look up to.
Your Ghrapics Card Should be good enough for moste games tough..
can you tell us in detail whats wrong partiucal and in what games?

Try to use the amd 13.3-beta-3 driver. I use this one on Debian Wheezy 64bit. When I try to use newer drivers the performance is worse. Maybe that will help you.

Not sure if it applies to Linux OS too, but some AMD processors require a BIOS update in order to work properly. I forget what ones they were. I think it had something to do with the Bulldozer core...

I'm using an r7 with amdgpu driver and i can say it rocks ! Fglrx was utterly useless and rabish no performance at all sucked 10000%. I'm glad that opensource drivers are now the default radeon and amdgpu.
