Yeah that worked out very very poorly for the Skulls of the Shogun devs.
I'm sure Crysis 4 - Return of the 2001 Monolith will have some odd setting that allows you to use DX11.2. Maybe Witcher 3, since tehy love melting computers with their games. But it's certainly not going to be ubiquitous.
Also given Win8 tepid reception in general, devs are not going to be jumping onto DX11
Almose all Valve games, are on Linux and it work better than Direcx serie
Dunno lordy lord were the CS:S people screaming bloody murder though.
Not likely though, DirectX 10 was a vista exclusive.
When is it due for release. o_O
By the end of 2013.
In a few months I think (could be wrong). It is basicaly a service pack and corrects several "annoyances" with W8. Allows for direct booting to desktop and returning the Start menu are just a few.
I know, I was being sarcastic...I just wish this sort of stuff wasn't tied to MS, because they do things like this.
They don't need to cater so well to the smaller, individual markets because they will not net enough revenue to warrant the kind spending that is required given the size of Microsoft's global enterprises.
