Sir, how can i re install steam without losing my games?
V2Blast Jun 19, 2013 @ 4:40pm
Steam itself can be easily reinstalled; the game files are separate from the Steam client itself.

Are you on using Mac or Windows?

Happened to me just now - I'm in the Trading card beta & the update must have corrupted my client......will try the fix right now.

Deleting Steam>steam, package, bin, and resource folders as well as all files except for the steam.exe file in Steam's main install folder allowed me to re-update Steam by starting it as normal. Seems to be working just fine now, awesome! :D
