Black ops 2 server problem
hey guys i have had this problem with a few games, when i try to start bo2 multiplayer it says the servers are down and i go to the bo2 website and it says everything is working. I can play zombies online without a problem and most of my other games work too and i am connected to the internet, has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

Wow.Nobody responded yet..
If your on offline mode. Nothing to do.
Try restarting steam.
Look in matchmaking to see if they say "Players online"
If so. open your NAT up.

This error can be caused by several things. B or C sound like your case:

A. When received while loading into a match; this is caused by you timing out.
1. Check if your machine is up to spec here: {LINK REMOVED}.

a. If you are under spec: Upgrade your hardware. You might get a small boost in performance by updating your drivers though.

b. If you meet the requirements:
-. update your drivers.
-. If you have a 6 core AMD update your bios.
-. Verify game cache for all 3 games.
-. Check your internet connection with {LINK REMOVED}.
-. If all this fails post system specs and {LINK REMOVED} results.

B. When you get it selecting "Online" and Steam is up it is a networking issue (you can check Steam by looking at your Steam friends list to see if it populates).
1. Verify game cache for Singleplayer, Multiplayer and Zombies.
2. Perform port forwarding on your router: {LINK REMOVED}
3. Disable all antivirus programs.
4. Give black ops 2 full permission to access the net in your firewall(s).
5. Do not use wifi, use a physical cable connection between your router and computer.
6. If these steps don't help post your full system specs here include results from {LINK REMOVED}.

C. When you cannot get past Online and you normally can this is usually a Steam outage.
1.Check your Steam Friends list to see if it populates.
a. If it does not populate You must wait on Steam to come back. You can try rebooting if it doesn't come back after a while.
b. If it does populate but you still cannot get online go to item B.
