Disabling Big Picture Mode?
After a recent steam update, my steam has been randomly loading into big picture mode. I've got the option disabled in the settings, and have literally never enabled (or wanted to use) big picture mode. It seems to just randomly pop up, and take over my whole screen, regardless of what I was doing and on top of other windows.

So my question is, can I permanently disable this obnoxious intrusion?

OMG I just did ALT+ENTER in a game to get back to fullscreen and steam went into big picture. Now alt+enter seems to set it off even outside games.

So annoying.
Oh my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god. You're right
Jesus christ. Looks like I can't leave steam open at all times anymore.
Valve/Steam are truly evil, there's 0 chance they didn't see the problems with this.

I really dislike it. I use a DS4 with earbuds for audio most of the time so I don't have to wear my headset constantly. Big Picture will activate when I launch a game randomly, and I won't know it till I get an out of the blue heart stopping "BONK" as if I were hovering the cursor over the in-game menu, even when it's not open. WTF?

Okay. Seems the fix to my issue was disabling Big Picture Overlay with controller option in Steam Settings. Still annoying though.

Worst is if you're clumsy and missclick on Big Picture Mode, you can even missclick on BPM exit menu on 4-5 ♥♥♥♥♥ like shut down your computer xD

click what look like a power button at the top right during the big picture mode, and click exit big picture.
oh, problem solved already. whatever, take my advice.

Oh yeah, after you waste several seconds of going through big picture mode's intro screen, and after your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game crashes because big picture mode ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ killed it.
Yeah, unrelated problem solved. Real neato.

When i try to Shift + Tab or when i see that one of my friends began playing a steam game, it shows it in a kind of BPM style. I dont like this, its been happening since i tried to configure a Switch Pro Controller to steam.
