Trade Confirmation not being sent, trade approved nevertheless.
Basically the title. What's happening? Did Valve remove the confirmation emails, didn't tell us, or is this a bug?

Email confirmation issues (Merged Threads)
Everytime I try to trade now(starting today) I get this message.

"In order to send this trade offer, you must complete an additional verification step. An email has been sent to your address (ending in "gmail.com") with additional instructions."

So I do what it says, and it works just fine. It's just that its very annoying having to go in your mailbox everytime you want to trade with someone, or send a trade offer. Is this a new feature or why is this coming everytime?

I'm not looking to trade.

It's a new feature since users can't protect themself from themself.

You can turn it off from your privacy settings under Edit Profile.

thanks alot!

"You will not be required to confirm trades and will not receive email about trades. Steam Support will also not provide you with any assistance in recovering items that were stolen from your account, for any reason." this is kinda stupid too. I would like to hit a confirm button while trading still.

Just ignore this message.
You should have received a mail with a link to confirm.

Check your "My Privacy Settings".

The email confirmation is enabled by default. So either you: disabled the setting, got the email and approved it, or the person who took your stuff has access to your email.

Nope. The email confirmation was still enabled at the time of trade, and i was using a bot to trade with that utilized trade offers. The thing is that i've traded with the bot a lot, but today was the first time that the trades i did didn't require a single email verification. And nobody has access to my email last time i checked. I think steam may have a few bugs in this system.

Was it a live trade? or a trade offer?

Can you maybe count from the start of the system how many trades you had with the bot? maybe there is something that after some amount of trading with the same user, over and over they stop asking for the email?

To reply, i've probably had ~ 13 trades in 2 days with the bot. And yes, they were all trade offers.

May be a bug, be i hope steam fixes it. This doesn't reassure me ._.

Anyways thanks for answering anyway, that's some added progress.
