I recently did one of those "free steam game" things, and have no clue as to where to input the given code, any help will be apreciated.

What "free steam game" thing? Did you not gave away account, email and passwords, didn't you?

Otherwise, if you got a key from a raffle/giveaway/whatever open your Steam Client and go to "Games" menu and choose "Activate a Product on Steam" option.

In the Steam client, upper right corner. Click on "Games" then "Activate a Product on Steam...".

As lightbringer777909 said. Those sites are usualy phishing sites and may compromise your account.

no, no password or account info was give, and I entered the code there, it said that "the product code you've entered is not valid"

You don't have to directly give Steam information. E-mail for example or a virus imbeded in the webpage. It is just a good idea to avoid those kinds of sites.

If the code didn't work, then the site is a scam of one kind for another. That is the only place to activate a game. If what they game you was a game code. There is a wallet code too in the same area.
