Flip the card over. Look at where your signature goes. There is a series of number there. The code is the last 3.

There is no option to buy using a card without the code.

The code is the last 3 of the numbers. That is the code.

I will not repeat this again.

it says this

Your purchase has not been completed. Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company.

Note that in some cases, your credit card company may put a 'hold' on funds in your account, but you will not be charged. After correcting any errors in the information displayed below, please try your purchase again.

You may want to contact your bank.
Although it's the first time i heard about a CC without a CVC code.

All VISA have CVC codes, so you either just have the number digitally and trying to use it to buy games on your account like a thief. Or bought a fraduelent card, cause it sure as hell didn't come from your bank.

first time using it.

Where do you live? All credit cards should have one.

They require this number to prove you have this card in your hand, instead of writing down somebody else's credit card number and trying to use it. Since the card has been declined, that means either the information you entered does not match the information stored by your credit card company or you are trying to use it in an unrecognised location. You need to contact your credit card company and get this straightened out then contact Steam support.

EVERY credit card has a security code. EVERY single one. I think he's fishing for information. Its clear as day on the back of every card. Apparently he only has the number so dont help him.

the only cards that dont have them are gift cards like SMV cards, and they can not be used on line anyway.

Where did you read this? I've received several VISA gift cards over the years and every single one could be used to buy plenty of Steam games.

All of them had CVCs too.

That's because Green Dot isn't a gift card. It's a reloadable prepaid card. There's a difference.

EDIT: Also...

> It is on the back of the card in the stripe where you are supposed to sign it with the "Authorized Signature". In that strip you will see your account number then 3 digits after that. Those 3 numbers are the CVC number.
