afterglow PS3 controller

Trying to get my Afterglow PS3 controller to work with my PC but black ops is not reconizing it any help out there???

Does it work for any other games?

You may not have the drivers loaded for it. I use an afterglow 360 controller. You have to manualy instal the drivers.

I'll find a link to the tutorial for you.

Afterglow Controller for Xbox 360 Windows 7 Installation Instructions
1.
Plug in the Afterglow Controller to a USB Port. If the controller does not automatically install, go to step 2. If the below message appears in the lower left of your screen, the controller was not properly installed.
2.
Open an internet browser and go to http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/do...ategory=gaming
3. Select “Controller” for product, “Xbox 360 Controller for Windows”, the operating system you are running and the appropriate language. Then click “Go”.
4. Click the link on the following page and run the driver installer.
5. Click the “Start” button and right click on “Computer”. Select “Manage” from the drop down menu.
6. Click “Device Manager” from the list on the list to the left side of the “Computer Management” window.
7. Find the controller in the list of devices as “Afterflow Gamepad for Xbox 360” and right click it.
8. Select “Update Driver Software…” from the dropdown menu.
9. Click “Browse my computer for driver software” from the pop‐up window.
10. Click “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer” from the next window.
11. Scroll down to and double click “Microsoft Common Controller For Windows Class”.
12. Select “XBOX 360 Controller For Windows Version: 6.1.7600.16385 [6/21/2006] from the list and click the “Next” button.
13. Click the “Yes” button on the “Update Driver Warning” window.

. Your Afterglow Controller is now installed!

this is a neat idea, except that link to microsoft doesn't work, and also that's for a 360 Afterglow; this person (and I) are using PS3 Models. not 360s.

I know the shortcut i click on is Xpadder from xpadder.com. I haven't used it in a while, so I'd have to fuss with it again to remember how it works, but I did eventually get it to work.

my bro he asked for a PS3 one, not xbox

Try holding down the start button and then hold the reset. My Afterglow was not recognized by older x input games like gta3 and San Andres. By doing so I now use my controller on both.
