Content Servers Unreachable

I hate to re-tread old ground, but as a new Steam user, I have this issue (An error occurred while installing Football Manager 2013 (Content servers unreachable)) with downloading my first purchased game (bought a couple of days ago). I've tried all the bits in the network connectivity troubleshoot, the 3rd party port-test thing says my ports are fine for Steam, I've tried changing download region and un/re-installing, all without any success... any other ideas that might work?

Damn.. I know this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ strange. But I followed what he did, changing the default web browser into IE... it worked. Downloading games again :D

Dude i had same issue, i tried everything but later the problem was Matchmaking server Picker for CSGO. Reset that and it worked fine! :D

Check your FIREWALL SETTINGS IN YOUR ANTI-VIRUS for "bad website filtering" This is the only real fix if changing content servers and clearing cache in downloads tab inside steams settings.

Hey! I don't know if this can help, but the situation for me was this:
The problem "content server unreachable" continued to pop up at evry update and/or installation that i wanted to do. I tried evrything: changing download region, cleared download cache, deleting files ecc. ecc., and nothing worked. Then i went to my wi fi provider control page and deactivated the function "safe web". For me it's called "safe web", but it's that option that protects you from unknown urls and possible malware webs. For me it worked!
Hope works for you too!

I went on Chrome > Settings > Show Advanced Settings > Change Proxy Settings > LAN settings > (Make sure to tick "Automatically detect settings" and to untick "Use a proxy server for your LAN" ) ... Once this is done close steam and restart it and you should be able to download. It worked for me!

Don't know if this will help anyone but I ran into this problem today Content Servers Unreachable on FO4 and Unturned and after searching around I found a spyware/malware thing called ReleventKnowledge was blocking me somehow, got rid of it and now things seem to be working.

So what you have to do is download something called maddada's server picker for csgo.
After you install it, check all the Steam server regions and click apply. After this, it will allow you to connect to all server regions. I did this and it worked my first try.
