Is there any way I can redeem UPlay codes as a gift?

Hey there. So, I recently ordered a new graphics card, and with it came a card that I can redeem for Far Cry 3 and the Blood Dragon standalone.

That being said, I already have Far Cry 3 - and I'm not all that interested in Blood Dragon. I would like to put them in my gift box so I can use them to trade for a game I really like later down the line. However, I've tried to redeem codes for games before as gifts and they... well... didn't really work out too well.

Its further complicated by the fact that they are redeemed through Uplay. Which both runs with and opposite to Steam.

Is there any way I can get these games from Uplay to my Steam Gift Box so I can trade them for games I don't own? I understand I can trade these away - however I'd like to actually do so through a legitimate channel rather than hoping that I don't get scammed.

Nope. You can not redeam them as a gift. You can try and trade them outside the trade system, sell/give them to a friend or tak your chances on e-bay.

However, if you read the TOS/TOU that goes along with those games you get with the card, you are not allowed to sell them. Only use them or give them away.

The gift actually didn't come with any ToSA, nor did the website. I never inteded to sell the keys - and trades are a very sticky subject. Trades aren't really covered under most ToSA - although it usually carries the caveat of "if its not done through official means, and you get scammed, its your problem."

I'll probably just end up striking a bargain with a real friend. Which sucks... -_-. OH WELL. Thank you.
