Can I download a game somewhere else and install it on my home computer?

I'm not a person blessed with lightning fast internet, I just wanted to ask if I could buy a game, go on someone elses' PC and download the game to a flash drive, then plug it into my home PC and install the game. Thanks to anyone who answers

I know that feel bro.

I think it is possible, downloading it and then going into the Steam files and getting the folder from there, then putting it on a USB and moving it your other PC.
That or you can download it and then backup the game onto your USB then move it.

I'm in the same boat, if I'm wrong, then please post a way to do this!

Im pretty sure you can get the bulk of the files and copy them provided you copy the entire steam folder exactly... then what you can do is verify the cache and it will scan your 'installation' and then correct anything that needs to be corrected. I did this when I wanted to transfer all my games to my new hard drive without having to reinstall everything.

Be sure you've got the game listed in your game directory first on the computer your'll be using. Then go to your other computer with fast internet, log in to steam and download the game. Copy the game file to your flash drive and replace the game file in your regular computer. Then have steam check the game cache and it should work.

Most of the games I want are 10-15 gb downloads and I have a 32 GB flash drive, so I should be fine.
