Steam Workshop Not Working For You? Here's A Quick Fix!
If you're an active Steam user (and hopefully not living under a rock), you may have noticed that the Steam Workshop is down. But don't panic just yet! Only the Steam Workshop's Main Page is experiencing these issues. This might be a result of an upcoming layout update, to make browsing through the list of workshop compatible games more convenient as the number quickly increases! However, this may take a while, so I recommend using these quick steps to reach the Workshop page of the game you want!

Steps to access the Workshop:

1. Copy and paste this URL into your browser:
http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/browse/?appid=

2. This is the tricky part. You must go to the game of your choice's store page and add the Application ID, which is the row of numbers near the end of the URL (ie. Team Fortress 2 would be 440), onto the final part of the address given above.

3. Press enter after these two steps and "voila!", you should be in the game's workshop page! Don't forget to vote for items while you're there!

Notes:
  • While performing the steps above, it is recommended that you use a separate tab to have the link ready for when you insert the ID number!
  • Keep in mind the Workshop may not work altogether while a Maintenance session is under progress!
  • You can also access them by simply clicking the workshop button in the game's hub.

Hope it works!

It's probably easier just to hit the game Hub for the game then bounce to the workshop via the tab there

Are you having trouble accessing the Steam Workshop home page in the client or in a normal web browser?

Are you still experiencing the problem?

It does not work on any of my browsers, and the Steam client shows trouble trying to connect to it, and the connection times out. This has been going on for a few days, and yes, it is still impossible to reach the page.

It worked just a second ago, but now there is no connection. Must be a problem with the server.

If you have Chrome, can you try this?

Press CTRL+SHIFT+J to bring up the developer tools, then click on the Network tab, then refresh the page. Look for the things that take the longest time.

Ok! Will do right now!

Seems it's not working, Chrome is reporting that workshop/ is unable to be downloaded. It's an Error 500 (Internal Server). Will say what takes really long when the page loads again!

Finally got it to work, it appears that the fillimages (Loading from Steam Cloud) are loading longer, and workshop/ is is the file that takes the longest to load, and is probably the cause of the crashes. The browsers also have trouble loading resizedimages.

It does fore me on the client, unless I go directly to a specific game's worshop page. It works fine for me on Chorme, IE and Firefox.

I take that back. Just tried on the Client and it works. Last night it didn't.

Seems it's back up, hopefully it stays like this. :)

On another note, it also takes a very long time to load a full size preview photo on the item's workshop page. (ie. It took me over a minute to load a full size image of "Lt. Bites on the TF2 Workshop page)

Just to reassure you, the load time is not caused by my internet, which can easily reach ~8mb per second while downloading a game on Steam (and I'm doing all of this while next to the router). I should have no issue loading a page.

I don't want to be asking for too much, but is there any way that you can comment on my profile that I helped you guys fix something (only if it begins to work again!)?

I haven't been able to access the Workshop reliably for days, almost always timing out on the blank white page. In any browser (Firefox, EI) or the Steam client.
