There are severl listed there with links. Article is a bit dated, so you may have to search around a bit.
Because Kasperskys is targeted and disabled by any decent malware. The rootkit scanner is just a one time scan thing and it works well for most rootkits.
I repair computers professionally and I tell you that their protection is crap. Also about a year ago one of their updates hosed thousands of computers. It works ok, just there are better solutions. I would suggest NOD32 if you want something solid.
LOL, ok. Good luck. If that does not pop up again you might be good to go. If you see it again you are still infected. You have been removing viruses since the 90's yet you was not sure that a very obvious virus is a virus? If you was as good as you think you would be virus free since the 90's.
I never was worried as my computers are virus free but I know from experience you can scan with multiple scanners and still have an infection. It is possible that it was a redirect but it was unable to infect your system. If you see that pop up again though you still have issues.
That way if anyone else reads this, they have the correct link.
