Why does playing on Steam kick my Xbox 360 connection?
This is happening, and I have NO idea why. It is reproducible. It happens 100% of the time.

Allow me to describe:

My Son plays on a 360 in the front room. He is on a WiFi to the family router (Belkin N+). Playing ANY game, online, it doesn't matter which game. Call of Duty MW3 (Infinity Ward), Call of Duty: Black OPs (1 and 2), and Battlefield 3.

So long as I do NOT connect to Steam to play Black OPs 2 , he stays connected and plays just fine. If I play BF3, using Orgin, he stays online. If I play World of Warcraft, he stays online. If I play DayZ (which is a mod of Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead, which I bought through Steam) AND connect using "DayZ Commander" which does NOT open Steam, my Son can continue to play online.

At first, I thought perhaps it was a router issue...then I noticed my ability to play other (non-Steam) games, and he could still play. Then I thought perhaps it was an "account" issue, with Steam not sure how I was playing on both the 360 and on PC at the same time....but wait, Steam isn't used on a console. Then I thought it might be the "game" tryingot figure out how I would play BO2 on the PC and 360 at the same time....then I thought about BO2 and BF3, one is Activision (CoD Elite) and the other is EA (Origin).

The ONLY thing this event has in common is Steam. If I play anything online via Steam, the 360 connection goes down. Why?

I'd really like a response to this one.

Interfears With The Other Programs Connactions
It's your router. Mine can handle 360, PS3 and two PCs all playing games at the same time. A bit of lag, but that is understandable. All stay connected.
