No card booster packs ever?
Level 10, 12 eligible drop games, been waiting for months, signed in every week etc. Am I doing something wrong? Not a single drop. My friends have had 5+ drops each (I checked with them), despite many of them being lower levels (under 10 for the 20% increase in drop chance). Any help? :D

It's not just you. I've literally never had one either. I used to think they were a myth and didn't actually exist.

Yup, they exist - I've had 2 already. Just understand that they're not common.

A booster pack only becomes available every time someone has crafted a badge. If not many people are crafting, not many boosters become available. Of course, there are tens of millions of active Steam accounts, so your chances of getting them are slim.

But they certainly do exist, and it's just the luck of the draw. You're doing everything right, as you're only required to log in. There is no way to speed up the process - it's as straightforward as that. It's not dependent on how much you trade (that is certain), or how many cards you have overall or anything other than just making sure you've logged in.

You might think it's not good that there aren't many boosters, but consider that:
(1) It's early days, and Valve may end up tweaking things when they've seen how it all bears out
(2) it's a TRADING card system, so the emphasis is very much on completing your set by engaging with others in the community.

The best way to increase your chances is become eligible for drops in as may different games as possible. You get a dice roll so to speak for each pack you're eligible for.

Is it actually written anywhere that having multiple games increases your chances of getting a booster pack? Maybe instead, it just picks a random person and then randomly selects one of their eligible games?

Yeah, it's just luck. I have 22 eligible games, some from the very beginning (like Trine 2 had cards when they were introduced), and I've only recently gotten my first and currently only booster.

It's all luck.

The common theory is that boosters are created for the game that the badge is made for, in which case every eligible game in your collections means you'll be considered in an additional raffle.

It might be a bit ambiguous, but I tend to lean towards the FAQs meaning that for each badge that is crafted, a booster is created as meaning for THAT pertaining game - it'd make sense as it'd be effectively replacing the cards that have gone out of circulation, if you get what I mean.
