Mass download Steam library {SOLVED}
The time has finally come! After almost 4 years of buying summer sale games and Humble Bundles, I finally have a good gaming PC! The only issue is, I don't want to go through all 300+ Steam games I own to download each and everyone of them.

I know for a fact there is a way to mass download, for example, when you buy a bundle it asks you if you want to download all the games you just purchused. Is there another way to trigger this mass download prompt? Or, am I stuck downloading each game one by one?

**EDIT**
However, I was unable to find the solution I was looking for, I found out I can some what download games without waiting for it to allocate space using the Steam Community website and trigging the installation remotely. Thanks to all that helped! Cheers!

You can download more than one game at the same time, yes.

There isn't an option to start a download for a mass amount of games. You'd need to start one by one.

There is, when you buy a bundle you can start the download of multiple games at once.

Where was the option before?
Like this. http://puu.sh/4R8kO.png For Humble Indie Bundle #3, when redeeming the CD Key, I get the prompt to install all the games at once, without having to go down my library and triggering all of them.

I know the possiblity exsists, but how do I execute it?

Try and install one of them and see if the option pops up. It may have been a one off option though.

It only exists if the bundle was sold as ONE unit - the Humble Bundles traditionally do this.

From within Steam itself there is no function.

I'm afraid you'll have to go through them one by one, but at least you can stack them all up and leave them to download one after the other.

I have found a clever little solution to my issue, in case someone looks back at this and wonders how you can do it. If you go to your games list, logged in, via a web browser, you can trigger a download. Yes, you do have to click on each game, but you don't have to wait for it to allocate space for it, so it is a bit faster to trigger all the downloads. Thanks to Maavrik for the suggestion!

That doesn't let you choose a Steam Directory though does it? It probably just installs to the default Steam dir?

It seems so, none the less, if you have multiple places where you install games (like I did before my gaming PC) it may be best to go one by one...

No it won't let you choose.. You can change this by re-installing steam to another location that better fits your default 'install' location. Until Valve adds more features, you're stuck to silly solutions..

Edit: 8-8-2016 (3 years later )

Steam Library folder for custom download installations :
Steam > Settings > Downloads > Steam Library folder

Multiple game installations at the same time :
Hold CTRL and click each game you want to install for multiple installations.
The SHIFT key also works for a row a of games.

Thanks, I was just wondering because I have Steam on my SSD (with a few fav games) and then the rest are on a large HDD. So such a solution wouldn't work for me sadly.

And yes, when I built this computer I had to install every game, one by one. Was a pain.

Yes there is:
Click on first game --> then press and hold CTRL or SHIFT --> click another game --> right click on selected games --> install

Windows like from humble bundle pops out:
