Steam notifying users of sales and discounts?
I am just wondering if there is any way I can be notified about any Steam future sales or discounts. Today I saw one advertised that Capcom games are 50%-75% off so I bought myself a bunch of games using the sale. How can I know any other sales or discounts in the future? Maybe the game I want to buy will come up and will be on sale.

Add it to your wish list and an e-mail will be sent to you if/when it goes on sale.

I added one today and I didn't get an email about the sale. But I may have added it to wish list after it went on sale...

Yep. It has to be done before the sale.

I started using it a couple of days ago and it's really good. :D:

IsThereAnyDeal is more about those bundle/indie sales, though. I've subscribed to humblebundle and indiegala nonetheless, but IsThereAnyDealalso covers some shops that I've never used.

Greenmangaming also sends me an EMail when they have sales.

Steam on it's own doesn't send EMails; wishlist doesn't work very well for me since I usually put games there when I see them and think they might be interesting, which often happens during a sale since that's when I take a look at games... thus, I'm not only interested in wishlisted games, but I'm even more interested in sales for games that I've never looked at before.

That doesn't always work. There have been a few times where games in my Wishlist were on sale, yet Steam never sent an email confirmation.

@Kagor

That site works for your wishlist. You just have to import your wishlist in and it sends you emails when they go on sale.

Pro tip: follow the newsfeeds. Every decent browser and mail client has RSS support.
Daily deals: http://store.steampowered.com/feeds/daily_deals.xml
All Steam news: http://store.steampowered.com/feeds/news.xml

I follow the latter. This way, I get all the deals, also all the new releases and fun stuff like Steam Universe announcements.

A better alternative would be to register your email address on CheapShark where you will receive price alerts on games that you setup on the website itself. Best part is it will not only alert you of sales from Steam, but from other online retailers like Amazon, Greenmangaming, etc.

Yes I do. But I want notifications on titles I may not remember now but am aware of. I saw Batman games on sale now and bought them. I just want to know every time Steam has a sale to email me.
