Ubisoft account hacked, linked to Steam
My Ubisoft account is hacked.
I get different emails that my account password and/or email is changed.
Now I can not login on my Ubisoft email account.
I know that Anno 1800 has a Ubisoft connect.

I started the game and see that my email adress is changed.
After the @ from the email adres is now: otsuferlonmail.com
That is not my email adres ofcourse.

The login history is in Armania.

I contacted the Ubisoft support, but I read that the support is not so good.
Can someone help me?
My games are linked to Steam, like Anno 1800.

What can they do with my account? I don't want a empty bank account ofcourse!

you have to pester Ubisoft support. Valve does not manage third party account linking.
Ubisoft Support are the only ones who can do anything as the linking is done on their end, not Steam

Again contact Ubisoft. No one here can assist with Ubisoft account issues

Well a lack of patience in recovering your ubisoft account doesn't mean your screwed.

But if you've shot yourself in the foot in such a way where you can't recover your ubisoft account then, sure.

I think the lesson there is be serious about account security, be serious about account management, don't wait until after the fact to decide an account is important to you and you don't like the consequences of being reckless and careless.

I never was reckless and careless about my accounts, there sooo many people who just got hack cuz ubisoft breaching, in fact ubisoft never explained or advised, and I have 2factor in all my accounts and still they somehow breach into my accounts. So dont come here trying to be some kind of educator about security, if u can help be my guest if not step away :)

Says every person that's been phished

Its always funny that people say "well I got hacked". But then don't wonder "why would they hack the account of some nobody, when they can hijack the account of some important streamer, or famous person".

Its the hubris that you are so important that a hacker group burned a 0 day to steal your account.

You are not important. No one cares about your account to burn anything important on it.

If you refuse to acknowledge your own recklessness got your account hijacked, then you will suffer the same fate on other accounts in the future.

I can't dispute what you believe or feel. But I'd also be willing to bet some serious money that if were to take a deep dive into your security practices they might not be rock solid either.

Regardless, if you have all your ducks in a row, and this is all ubisoft then they're up to their eyeballs in support and you need to be patient. And if you're lying to yourself to protect your ego, well your ego appreciates it, but it won't actually help you short term or long term.

There's a lot you can do to protect yourself and manage your accounts to keep them safe. Are you really sure you're doing everything you can?

Edit: If it makes you feel better I just updated my ubisoft account and added 2FA and saved the recovery codes off into my password manager. I rarely login or play ubisoft games so it's been easy to neglect. But I wouldn't want to end up in your boat, and I'd rather not eat crow if I can.

Sure it's not impossible that Ubisoft got hacked and haven't disclosed it, but it's unlikely. They have a legal duty to disclose breaches, with fines for failure to do so.

It's also unlikely any group that has breached them would've kept quiet/not been noticed selling the data on the dark web.

Not to mention all those people who haven't got the problem you have.

The biggest security weakpoint is the end user, especially when they become complacent because they believe 2fa means they're impregnable.

You, like many others, have carelessly scattered your data online and now expect divine intervention. What you actually need is a basic lesson in digital self-preservation.
