It's not going to be anything like BIOS.
It's most likely something to do with your connection.
First thing to do is double check any system resources aren't having issues, so you should bring up Task Manager while you're playing to see what it says - note if anything like your RAM, CPU, etc is being hit hard.
Also, as your system is new, make sure the games you are using are choosing the correct graphics set - not the onboard Intel chipset. You can easily force this in the nVidia control panel thing.
Next time to do some internet tests. Do a basic speed test to see how it performs.
Then advise us on how all those things report for the next step.
Also make sure you reinstal GPU driver with clean install, or try previous driver even.
Full performan should maybe not be need balance mode might be good enough, but hey its you that need to test this, not us here.
And in the end its still Brand Laptop name there has support , ( laptop is seen as all-in-one product. ) so you actual have own support place for the laptop.
I should have mentinoned that.
One of the first things that tripped me up when I went over to Windows 10 (or 11 of course) is that power savings settings are a lot different now.
Before it was largely one or two settings under power savings. Now it's spread all over.
So yes, make sure that not only are you hitting full performance on everything, but make sure your hard drives don't go to sleep etc.
But yup, the first thing that caused lag for me was indeed that by default the perofrmance kept going into power saving for games.
CF know all this is bet, can it hold what it's build for.
Specially if none of this other idea's help, then he is in trouble, then what he need to make sure that laptop can perform before warrant run out.
so no matter what ppl do as mistake, pretty hard to beat that. lol ( dont forget i did not had first support ) a remote technician , you dont call customer with it, you just deal with it.
