"Applying update" takes too much
I don't know remember when the steam client was updated, but now when I want to update any game even if it just8 87mb I takes a lot to apply the update
Does anyone know how to fix it?

I just updated Helldivers today and the the download is only 87mb wich downloaded in a second, but to apply it hass been taking 20 minutes already.

Ps. the game is installed in an ssd

More people using steam = more time to wait for updates and downloads. Also, apparently this is spring break week in usa, so alot of people are out of school and maybe on steam this week.

If applying the patch is taking a long time this is something you will need to post on the game forums as each game does their updates differently.

There is no "fix" that you can perform. Every game is different. Every update/patch is different. It all depends on the game's devs and how they designed the game, and what they are wanting to update.

It can be like that sometimes. Don't ever get ARK!

I have nearly every single game I own installed and there are only a small handful that don't allow Steam to auto-update. The ones I don't are because every time the devs release an update it's usually followed by several smaller "fix" updates and each one takes forever to complete. So I just wait until those games' updates have been queued for a couple of weeks before allowing them.
