Fallout 3 .308 Sniper Rifle Secret

If at any point in the game, you want to get some easy hunting supplies, use this simple trick.

1. Go to the front gate of Megaton
2. Go to the right side and keep walking
3. Kill some molerats or a viscious dog or two.
4. Look for a rock cornered by three sticks. It should say "Hollowed-Out Rock or something like that
5. Press E on it, and you should get a .308 sniper rifle, some ammo, maybe some food, and a note.


So there you have it! This is an easy tip for getting another sniper if you are in need of repair or just want to go hunting!

You can also get some bottle caps from the lass who lives in the house near springvale (just north of megaton), i believe you have to pass a speech check

(watching out for the radiers as the school is a base for them)

I have another one. I haven't really been here a whole lot but it's a really good hideout.


1. Go to the road right after vault 101 at the beginning of the game.
2. Go RIGHT. NOT LEFT. GO RIGHT down that road away from springvale.
3. On either side of the road you should come to a hollowed out Nuka-cola truck
4. It has some shotgun rounds, More ammo, an abandoned bed, a couple guns, and lots of stimpaks with some dirty water and some nuka-cola.


So there's a good hideout for you guys!

Never could find any Nuka-cola truck. Maybe I'm getting too old for this game.

Also, to the left of the Nuka-Cola truck, there should be a scavenger looking at some metal and a few good items with his dog. Talk to him and he says that it's all his.
You can try stealing the stuff, but it's really hard to get him to turn his back.
