Steam Login is coming up as a black square.

Whenever i try to open steam the login comes up as a black square with a bar and the x icon on top. I tried restarting and nothing changed. I think it has something to do with the files but im not sure.

I uninstalled and reinstalled steam and it started working.

u can also find file named "beta" in steam/package and delete it
it should work

This worked for me as well. Whatever was in that beta, needs to taken out back and shot and then shot again. Took 30 minutes to get steam running again.

Yup, this is the best way I found to do it.

Reinstall Steam withour redownloading/copypasting games

Step 1: Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc and access Task Manager.
Step 2: Look for Steam Client Service and Steam Client WebHelper> select it > End Task.
Step 3: Go to C drive > Program Files (86) > Steam folder.
Step 4: Remove files and folders except for steam apps, user data, and steam.exe
Step 5: Double-click Steam.exe to reinstall it.

THIS ONE WORKED FOR ME
