NTFS file system and cannot be installed on a FAT32 System.
I recently bought RDR2 on the sale and went to install it on my E: drive. I then got this error. "The game you are installing requires a drove with the NFTS file system and cannot be installed on a FAT32 file system. I did some of my own troubleshooting and have looked to reformat the drive but I found it was already in a NTFS system

Wondering if there is a fix as it is a NTFS drive but steam saying it aint. All help is appreciated

Do you have other attached device like usbstick that might trigger this.

Flashcard and other camera memory that interference with steam or should i said the OS so steam cant work.

It might not install everything on the E drive. It might also use a bit of space on the C drive.
I assume both are NTFS

try running sfc /scannow
