Why do no steam games have PS3 Controller Support?

So I wished games had PS3 Controller Support I personally think there's nothing better then PS3 and every other controller is crap. It's kinda annoying have the annoying pop ups with all the Xbox buttons when I'm on a PS3. I mean I can translate it from Xbox to PS3 but it gets on my nerves and I hate it so damn much.
Why ain't the Best PC controller on the market the PS3 it's amazing it's badass there's no better controller
I mean Xbox Controller setup is a pain in my ass never got a wireless one to work
Where as You can plug in any PS3 Controller even if it's wireless you just need the DS3 Tool to install the drivers. its easy it's fast it's simple and you get ♥♥♥♥ done faster

It may or may not have anything to do with the fact that PS3 controllers aren't officially supported on windows or osx.

So what your saying is that DS3 isen't officially supported? What the ♥♥♥♥? DS3 Tool is amazing and devserves way more credit if anything The DS3 Tool should be an Offical tool for windows/linux. it's amazing and I wish the creator had more credit for making the DS3 Tool
I mean really why ain't it supported if a tool was made to run steam Games without Motionjoy?

There is a clear difference between the 2 controller types: The xbox controller has an authorized driver using the directX input system. Were as the DS3 is freeware, made by fans.DS3 tool can possibly be harmful to your pc because the source isn't available and the driver/program isn't signed. It is very easy and free to developers to integrate the xbox controller with the added benefit that you only have to program it once for pc and xbox 360 release.

So a developer chooses to support xbox 360 controller because it is less complicated(programmed once used on 2 systems), more secured and officialy supported(meaning microsoft will help if there a problems caused by their system).But don't fret Sony indicated that their new ps4 controoller will be supported on PC.

with the DS3 Tool the drivers are safe I've installed them on two computers so far so take my word I have tested this tool out and it's 100% safe no harm no damage no nothing.
Its also fully compatable with every steam game that doesn't support PS3 but it tricks the game into thinking it's an xbox so you still the giant buttons on screen thinking that your using an Xbox I'm pretty sure that's how it works something like that.
All around I know the drivers are safe so trust me I know for a fact
Plus the DS3 Has Emualtor support so any emualtors you can't configer the controller will also work I'm pretty sure some emualtors you have to do this.

You've been pretty lucky. The MotioInJoy DS3 Tool has a very bad tendency to mess up your motherboard's Bluetooth connection and make it unusable for anything else. I love seeing the error message telling me I don't have a Bluetooth COM port every time I reboot.

Ok so you got great drivers yayyy but like you were told before there is no officially support of it on pc.. so game dev will not work to make it work for something that is not even officially supported by Windows/OSX.... you will just have to use the great drivers you have and live with it i think

Connect to the phone.... some things other then earphones use Bluetooth

Let's see here the world's heavyest controller is xbox or the world's lightest controller PS3 I perfer PS3 It's lightweight and easy to use. I hate heavy controllers and I don't even like anything about microsoft what so ever other then windows 7
the xbox 360 controller is crap really simple as that. it's two damn heavy might as well use a sega gen controller. Plus if you use a wireless controller it won't work you have to have an adapter

Since I can skype someone on a PC it makes connecting to a phone seem pretty damn useless. plus Steam chat Facebook IM ECT 100 and one ways to connect to a friend so why connect to a phone?

I can't really say I get the point of phones that much. There alright but really unless I'm actully on the go and away from a computer why even care?
I can facebook chat Skype Steam Chat so what's the point really?
