Steams a resource hog

Steam uses more memory than any other program while my PC is idle. 100mb to be exact, I dont know about people here on the forum but I do have friends in real life and they don't like it at all.

Its easy for steam to get carried away while catering for the same crowd but I think steam is missing the bigger picture. Some people are aware of things around them and are not just wondering around with there head in the sand while corporations help them self to the change in there back pocket.

All I'm saying is you are missing out on customers by creating this facebook, smart phone style resource hogging interface and its full of bugs.

Check your browser displaying these forums. I'll bet it uses more... and that is the only thing it is doing. Steam is doing more in the background.

I'm pritty sure my computer is perfectly capable of existing on it own accord. Do I really need this resource hogging program to play my games? Well I didn't in the past.

Well, my Steam has been on for days, playing games and whatnot. Using about 60mb, So what?My browser is using six times that much to display these forums.

The definition of troll is deluded here and you have molded it so you can use it to hided behind and also to manipulate the nature of the forum so to provent others from voicing their opinion.

If anything your the troll because if you had read my hole post then you would see that your just being a pain.

How much ram do you guys have?

Steam has randomly started using less since this post, dont ask me why I have no idea but while in this post its using 64,884k and I have 8gb of ram.
