Delete achievement from Achievement Showcase
I want to remove an achievement from the achievement showcase so that it's replaced by an empty slot. Is this possible? I can only replace existing ones with new ones. Even destroying the showcase and then creating it again does not solve the problem.

That's really annoying, can it be fixed?

There's currently no way to do this. Try putting another achivement in there or removing the showcase completely for another thing to display on your profile.

Right click on the achievement and edit these values to 0. Save the changes.

(for example, random achievement)
<input type="hidden" name="rgShowcaseConfig[17][0][appid]" value="0"> <input type="hidden" name="rgShowcaseConfig[17][0][title]" value="0">

before editing:
<input type="hidden" name="rgShowcaseConfig[17][0][appid]" value="209330"> <input type="hidden" name="rgShowcaseConfig[17][0][title]" value="2_4">

@Ireth Tassartir

After changing the values need to click save changes, not refresh page. I do not know how but it works.

in a similar way as here http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=302133818

I honestly don't know why Steam doesn't lock threads after a period if time. This guy just responded to a post that is four years old.

The solution to the matter only came 2 years ago though. Even then, it sure as hell is none of your business which thread gets updated after some time.

I think it's a form of netiquette. What you've done is considered necroposting. No one wants to see a four year old post in the forums.

Except you are in no position to talk for everyone. Perhaps someone would see the thread and wants to apply the method to his profile, you may never know. So stop acting like you do.

Also, if you don't have anything useful to share about the issue of the thread, you may as well stay out of it.

Why not? If it solves a problem that someone has and is still applicable it is perfectly valid. Your "netiquette" suggests every problem has to be solved over and over in duplicate threads for the rest of the life of the board. There is enough repetitive posting of the same topic here already without trying to encourage such counterproductive behaviour patterns.

At the top the forums it even spends the time to strongly suggest using search rather than posting a new topic every time, which is 100% the opposite of your theory that people should post the same topics over and over again instead of carrying on existing threads where they exist on a topic.
