Is there a way to add friends via Steam's web log in on a computer without Steam client installed?

Hello.

I cannot seem to figure out how to add a friend through Steam's web site through a web browser. Am I missing it? Or is this by design through/via client only which I cannot do at work (blocked by IT)?

Go to your friends steam profile and click Add friend.

I do not see it in my http://steamcommunity.com/id/antdude/friends/ ... "Manage Friends List" section shows these button options: Remove Friend, Block, Unblock, and Invite To Group. Am I in the wrong place? :(

His all ready on the friend list... you cant add someone that is all ready added XD

You realize that you linked your own Steam profile right? Sadly you cannot be your own friend on steam ;)

Edit: Go to the other persons profile not your own then you can add them. As said by another user. You cannot add friends if they are already your friends.

Tell him to send you his profile link, then you click on add friends. Then he has to press accept.

I am not sure... but as you say what you got there was if he is on your friends all ready... maybe it was a bug or something or you miss him?

That's the problem, Steam web site says "Sorry!

An error was encountered while processing your request:

The specified profile could not be found..." for my friend's profile.
