Support and for their required always online service to actually try to stay online.

The ability to move a game from one hdd to another, so I can store my games on a 1tb drive and move a single game to an ssd. I know there are programs to do this but they don't always work right. Also better information on controller support, for example Dead Rising 2 is listed as full controller support yet you later find out you need a official xbox controller only.

Steam backups!
They are great and I can play my steam games on both my PC, when downloading them only on the main. And I store big games on 1tb HDD in case of steam summer/x-mas activities.

i think that steam could really improve the friend search system like being able to seach for friends by location

Definitely the store browser. It's ridiculous that it resets after every game I check out in the list so I have to go through the entire list again - and if it's the front page lists, bestsellers coming soon and so on - it's only ten at a time. That gets too annoying and they're likely losing sales from it because people get frustrated with having to do the same thing over and over just to browse the games.

Agreed - that bugs me no end,

Even though I use my wishlist (slightly), there is no real joy to be had having to go through a long list as you scribble down what you may be interested in so you can go back and check each one individually.

About steam browser - for now I am using standart Internet browser to see games in the "open link in a new window" mode. Without loggin in of course. It's working fine, for now.

Wish that the names (links) of the DLCs on the DLC section of the main game page would have a different color, like green, if I already own it. Make it more practical, instead of make me access each page of the DLCs, or add all to the cart.

Better than a different colour, make it accessible for the colour-blind and partially sighted (green is probably the worst colour to use along with red).

They need to optimize the wholr client alot more. Webpages load extremely slow compared to other browsers.

Extremely unlikely to be able to buy things like PB or VAC for games - they can't just be added on.

Similarly, the block list across all games would be a nightmare to implement, assuming it were possible.

Two factor auth could be a win-win. We get enhanced security and Valve could reduce hijacked accounts / security tickets.

I would like to see the rules of conduct applied fairly and consistently, and if a comment has violated the terms of use/guide to at the very least highlight what was in fact violated based on the guide/rules of conduct.

The term Troll for example was applied for the reason for banning, but failed to point to where in the rules of conduct this applies and what your definiition of a troll is..

Also would be nice to see that and then instead of perma ban, given a warning with comment removed, before a moderator ( to busy to provide fariness) just slams the customer without any recourse or appeals process....

Fair comment, and I quite agree - consistency and clarity are everything, and as it is all too easy to make a mistake, unless such mistake is clearly pointed out to you, one is unlikely to learn from it.

However, I will iterate that warnings ARE given. Perma bans aren't just slapped out on first offences - unless of course, those first offences are incredibly serious. Plus, there IS as an appeals process, but I feel that it could be clearer and more defined.

I have to disagree about perma bans I made one comment regarding method of or timing of sales of recently introduced mods for DCS I was perma banned and steam nor Ed would produce or highlight just what I had violated, so DCS moderators have a heavy hand and Steam support could careless..........at this point
