Where do I go to trade games?
Hello everyone. I have two games (FTL and Fall Out New Vegas Definitive Edition) in my Steam Inventory that I'd like to trade. Where do I find people to trade with? Is there a forum? All I've found is the one for trading cards. Thank you for leading me in the right direction.

I don't think you can trade games. You can only trade items in your Steam inventory. I wish you could trade games, it be pretty cool
Games are tied to accounts. You are not allowed to trade games as it is against the TOS.

Now if you gift your games to friends, that is a different matter and legitimate. Perhaps you can gift a game to a friend and they can gift you back another game.

NOTE: The game will have to be in your steam inventory and not tied to your account and in your library.

They said they are in their inventory.
It's Steam that will be doing the trading. You? You can do gifting. Trading... No, no, no.

Sorry I haven't used Steam in a while. Balatro brought me back and I've been buying up popular indie games during the spring sale. The games mentioned are in my inventory, not library. I forget how I got them honestly. Been several years. I also have a bunch of CS2 guns but Steam is saying I have to wait a week after buying a game before I can list them on the community market.

No games show in your inventory... and your game library list is set to private...

Yeah till 2017 you could buy games and store them as gifts in your inventory.
That was discontinued, now you have to send them at once when you buy them.
The exception are multipacks where one copy gets redeemed on your account and the others you can gift away, those still go into your inventory.

Don't know why. It says both games are tradable but not marketable. I'll see if I can un-private my account.

I think I fixed it ... there was a toggle saying to keep gifts private.

Valve may have hidden them from Inventory of profile that still have some... probably to stop people from pestering users that have them. I never bothered to look from a different account when I had some...

I think I fixed it. Both games are tagged as tradable. When I went to unprivate my account, there was a toggle in regards to keeping steam gifts private.

If I'm not allowed to trade them, why are they tagged as "tradable" in my inventory?

Don’t worry about it, we are well past that…

You can trade them for whatever you can get as long as it fits into the window. The difficult thing is finding someone who wants the games you have to trade and them having something you want. Some game forums have trade sub forums so those could be a good starting point especially if people have created threads asking if anyone has the game to trade.
