Steam wallet code redeem
Today I just bought a USD steam wallet code from a legit online shop in my country, Indonesia, not knowing about the restriction of certain code only redeemable in certain region. Obviously, when I redeemed the code it was rejected which was a surprise to me at the time, with steam listing the probable reasons. I contacted the seller and they refuse to refund the code so I knew I had to find a solution for myself.

I made a new account with US region to try to redeem it but when I insert the code steam said that the code has already been redeemed. I recontacted the seller saying that the code was already redeemed but they insisted that it was due to the fact that the code has been tried to be redeemed on a different account. I want to make sure if this is the case or not. Please help me I'm not trying to abuse the system it was all due to my lack of knowledge of the new policy because I remember years ago redeeming a USD steam wallet code on my Indonesian account was never a problem.

well more precisely it was an online marketplace which had many sellers. I've bought steam wallet codes and DOTA items many times and I never experienced any scam. I post this question to make sure that when steam said it has been redeemed was because of my previous attempt of redeeming it on my Indonesian account or if it was a scam.

Other people who had experience similar issue may share the experience here thank you

The fact you bought a foreign steam card in a country you do not live in is a big red flag that you were going to get scammed. Next time buy a steam card from the country you are in, or are you one of those people who try to bypass countries with VPN to get cheaper prices on steam? I believe that is also illegal according to the TOS. Also are you indonesia or Jamacia as your profile page says?Buying cards for a country that is not even listed on your account is also a big red flag.
