Windows 11, version 24H2 update caused nearly all of my games to run at 30fps

i'm not very tech savvy. all i did was update my windows and update my AMD drivers as they popped up, and now not only do my games actually load slower, nearly all of them now run at a flat 30fps and i have no idea how to fix it.

i somehow managed to get baulders gate to run normal.. by putting it to fullscreen. windowed mode makes it run at 30fps for some reason and i have no idea why.

windowed mode in enshrouded make my computer scream like it's got massive coil whine (i think thats what it's called) and only fullscreen makes the pc run quiet. but still locked to 30fps.

i tried running sons of the forest and doesn't seem to matter what setting or resolution thats at, constant 30fps.

i have absolutely no clue how to fix this or what even caused it beyond those 2 updates i did.

Yea, microsoft knows about this too. This also includes sound issues.

You could try downgrading to 23h2 version. That version of windows 11 is pretty much bug free. If you just installed it, you can still go back, but after that, you need to create a bootable usb stick to downgrade. Read here for more information:

Be aware if you installed it 10 days or less ago, you just click the button go back, otherwise you need to get a 23h2 ISO and reinstall it using that method using a usb stick. Good luck.

Yea windows 11 version 24h2 is so buggy, even microsoft knows about it. Not sure why they released a buggy version. i think they gave up on it and moved onto windows os version 12.
