MB/s not mbps.

if I explain I probably make little errors so I leave it to others.

I have 124mbps and steam gives me 14MB/s

It depends on where you live usually also...3.2 sounds good to me. I sometimes have to settle with 2.2 or maybe even less. Steam server load can affect it also. You cannot go by "max speed" that your area or provider can give....that is misleading most of the time.

your provider likes to use mbps because it sounds bigger.

it is plenty fast.
no need IMO unless you need more upload speed.

mb = megabit, MB = megabyte. There are 8 bits in a byte. You can use Google to do conversions. Also, depending on the time of day, even Steam can stream content slowly.

it is a lot betterr now but when MW2 was just relesed in 2008 I would have to download in to low hours to see maximum speeds.
http://store.steampowered.com/stats

now I also get almost top speeds in peak hours again.
but I am in small country not too poor with many valve content servers.
the second country to connect/use to the internet in the world.
so yeah it matters were you are from.
