Do steam wallet "codes" expire?

I really need this answering, I was wondering if those steam cards/codes you purchase from retails do the codes expire if they are not used within lets say a month of so r can you purchase a wallet code and leave it for another time without it expiring, I would like to purchase many of them very soon and give them out through the year for presents etc...

Also since I would like to buy multiple £10 wallet codes so I don't have to put all the money at once onto my account,

Well, the codes will never expire. But... depending on where you buy them from (shady retailers?) I wouldn't guarantee that they wouldn't be used...

Possibly, but I can't say for sure. If they do, then it won't expire for at least a year.

Chances are they either don't expire or it would take several years for it to do so.

They are readily available, so I don't see why you would buy them in bulk. Most retailers I know of wouldn't allow it either as they need some for other customers.

There is also the possibility that a few may not get activated properly. Not sure if a retailer would be willing to, or able to, fix that if it has been past some period of time.

I see well currently I was thinking about just buying 3x £10 codes today and using only one but I will then use the next two next month, do you think this will work or is that risky?

Wallet codes are only generated at a retail till so they only exist when someone is making a direct purchase.

In terms of gift cards in circulation; there are probably a few million floating around but these are also useless until they are authenticated at a till.

If they expire, it will tell you on the receipt. The cards normally never expire but the codes that you get on a receipt do.

If they have an expiration date it must be mentioned on the receipt or the card itself. All the cards i've seen myself didn't have such a notification.
