Cannot launch CS:GO

It sucks, because I bought this game literally a month ago, and I can't play it yet, because everytime I attempt to launch the game, it doesn't launch. It says that I'm in game to my friends, and it stays like that for about ten seconds, and then it just goes back to "Online".

I've tried so much:
Verifying cache integrity
restarting computer
restarting steam
Changing launch options - resolution d3d config
Refreshing steam files (automated response from Steam Support)
Updated video drivers and all computer updates

I can't think of much more to try. I would appreciate any help I get offered, and thanks ahead of time.

I've heard that this can happen to a many variety of games, but I've yet to find something that is actually helpful. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try checking the Task Manager if you are on a Windows. Chances are, CS:GO might be loading, but has not appeared yet, (visually).

If you are on a Windows, start Task Manager.
Then, look for a program titled, csgo.exe*32 (or something visually similar)
Look at the section title, Memory (Private Working Set). If the number for csgo.exe*32 is going up, chances are, the game is still processing and loading.

The "csgo.exe*32" is indeed there, but it only appears when I initially try to start the game. it remains for roughly 10 seconds, while steadily going up in memory during this time, before disappearing.

Not sure if you have tried uninstalling, then reinstalling the game, as sometimes you have to install or accept these different Microsoft Drivers blah blah...changes or additions to your computer.

Your antivirus might detect a false positive (something that your antivirus detects as a virus but actually is not) if you have a antivirus software, this has happened to me when trying to SFM, it would delete some files and the game wouldnt run after it was done downloading, I think most antivirus softwares can add exclusions on what the antivirus thinks as a virus or cleans a virus.

I have Avast!, but I've added CS:GO as an exclusion already.

Here is what a friend suggested:
1. Right click csgo*32.exe in task manager.
2. Click Properties
3. Go to Compatibility
4. Click "Change Settings for All Users"
Note: I understood everthing up to this step, but the rest I don't know because I have never tried it on my csgo.exe*32 file before. The risk is yours.
5. Change it to Windows 7 & check off run as admin
6. Verify Integrity of Game Cache through Steam Library (again).
7. Restart computer.
8. Allow first time set-up.
9. Play (?).
Note: I understood everthing up to this step, but the rest I don't know because I have never tried it on my csgo.exe*32 file before. The risk is yours.

All of it was already set up to that, so all I'd be doing is verifying my game cache. :-\

So, I disabled all startup programs, and low and behold, it actually launched! Thing is, I lost my sound and my internet to do so. Now I just have to find which startup programs are causing this.
