UNOFFICIAL Can't log into steam complaint board

I can't log into steam through the normal log in screen. It simply says
Connection Error
Could not log to the Steam Network

Halp please.

same problem
just started a few minutes ago. my friends tab went offline and my status went to offline. As you can tell I still have internet access. In steam beta.
Any help would be great thanks

i also ran into this issue. steam will login if i chose start in offline mode, but wont login online. also i have noticed before this happened that my blackops was intermittently failing to connect to server in multiplayer
