Gem Maker/Auction Participant Badge glitch?

I turned a few backgrounds/emotes into gems and got a Gem Maker badge, then a bit later, I placed a bid on something and got the Auction Participant badge, but now my Gem Maker badge is gone. Is this intentional or a glitch? Anyone else experience this?

You have stage 2 of the badge for bidding. You get stage 3 if you win an auction. It has 3 stages, sort of like normal badges have 5 stages. You only have one badge, it changes as you do more.

i turn lots of stuff into gems and have number of bids and is still dont have a single badge :(

@ The doctor is in -- Thats because you are a limited account. You have to buy a game from steam or get a gift of a steam game to have a full account.

The problem is that the stage 1 badge is 100 xp, and is replaced by a stage 2 badge worth 100 xp. The stage 2 badge should be worth 200 xp if the stage 1 is replaced.

i do not have a limited account... the thing has bugs and it was shutdown... massive exploits going on. worse people have money and inventory items missing.

I got the Gem Maker badge, then I did a bid on a random game to get the Bidder badge, got it but no XP.

Idk why, maybe is a bug. I was hoping to reach level 51, only 7xp left to get there.

Because right now, the Bid badge appears as a level 2 version of the Gem Maker badge, but is still only worth 100 exp. So it overwrites the Gem Maker badge (as do all level increasing badge) but is still only worth 100 exp, rather than 150 or even 200.

Whether the EXP being the same is by design or not is yet to be determined.

Yes. That is how it works. It's three different levels. 100, 150, and 200 XP. Steam corrected the exp levels.

But like all multi level badges you lose the previous level badge.

I was able to get Gem Maker Badge today, so I was wondering if it is possible I can still go for Auction participant badge as well? Or is it too late?
