Is there anyway to see the total I have spent on Steam?
I looked in the settings bit and saw transactions etc, but it only goes backa few years. Is there anyway to see my over all total I spent over the years? It's more out of intrest rather than anything else so if not no worries. :watchingyou::zombieeye:

There are some sites that give a rough estimate. Google "Steam Calculator". Just don't log into any sites, you should only need your profile link.

Well there ways to see how much you paid through checking your badge progression on your account for certain games.

the best/only way to get a practicle number is to look at your old reciepts from steam (should probably be keeping these anyways).

the issue you run into is that things like Steam Calculator will give you the total based on current prices while depending on when you baught it can make a major impact. if you only ever baught say AAA titles at day of release (without discount) then you could say $60 bucks each, and be done, but if there are indie titles, bundles, steam sales, or just price reductions in there then everything goes out the window. then we haven't even started to talk about buying things from GreenManGaming, or HumbleBundle which each try to sell at a discount,

I know that I have spent a few THOUSAND dollars on steam, and Humble Bundle combined meaning that besides my saved reciepts from Steam, and HumbleBundle I could only value my entire library somewhere between 3, and 5 thousand. when I am pretty sure it is a fraction of that spent.

As said, it's a rough estimate.

Yea..I agree with gardian06...I am thinking the only way to answer this question is with another question...How far back do bank records go ?...LOL

EDIT...to answer this exactly is what I meant...sorry

by US law FDIC goes back 18 months, and NCUA goes back 12 months, but the individual instituation can choose to keep records for longer.
just checked, bank keeps 6months, 12 months avilable on reuest, upto 60 months avilable for a pretty hefty fee (£6.00 per monthly statement!!)

Install http://enhancedsteam.com/ to Firefox or Chrome and go to https://store.steampowered.com/account/store_transactions and it will add up all the numbers on the page. It can't calculate with CD-keys though.

Back in the olden far away times, in the US you had to keep checks for 7 years, back when you got a paper statement and all your used checks were given back to you.

this still runs into the issue of the records held in the "transaction history" only maintains for few months (as OP said), so all your sugesting is instal a calculator.

according to IRS for tax purposes you are supposed to hold onto your reciepts for 7 years (in accordence with laws pertaining to audits), but technically you only need to do this if you are itemizing, and deducting things like sales tax, or file business taxes (Like Valve does)

Transaction history on Steam goes all the way back.

I can see I bought COD:MW for an eye popping $40 back in 2008

It's a pretty good calculator for this purpose... No need to enter any numbers.

If i wanted to i could add upp the email reciepts for every humble bundle or and other Steam keys i have bought over the internet but it's to much work. That calculated number is a good enough barometer for me.
