so best goto same game make a game post or join same game group then through skype or chat id each other aslong you are alone or make a temporary pw if 1 say code1 other say code2 then u know hes the right one...phfff ..what a post never thought it should be a problem to find a friend... just i search your name gave 22000 ...whats way to much
This question on Steam seems to come up as the first search result of the question on Google for "Steam Community Advanced Search".
On Steam, there is no advanced search for the 'people', and there is only 1 that is only for names and no other profile aspects and 1 for 'communities'.
Unless the 'person' you are refering to haven't sent you a "Friend Code" from (Profile's Name)/"FRIENDS"/"Add a Friend" or "a Quick Invite" link, you don't have the link to the profile and you have only been given the profile's name, searching for it is your only way of finding them now. If you remember any aspects of the profile (like past names, set country, custom 'ID', profile image) you could take that into aspect as well.
If they, however, have changed their name and wiped all of their previous aliases and/or updated their profile drastically, there's no way of finding them now.
I would like to apologize once again and tell that I had no idea that the 'code' that is being refered to is the 'Your Friend Code', but I realized it eventually.
5 year old necro of something that isn't relevant since friend codes and direct links exist now.
ps.
hmm they seem to have change it, i dont recall your friend code possibilities from the past.
No you wake a 8 year old post up from the grave. ( thats the first mistake and now you think things dont matter in what steam has change and do now. )
im sure this was made to find each other better.
