Cant verify prepaid card :: Help and Tips

Cant verify prepaid card

I got a prepaid mastercard for my b-day and im unable to verify it and have to wait a week to use the funds. How can i verify?

It keeps saying

Your bank declined one or both of our small authorizations. If you clear this issue up with your bank, you can retry then.

Does your prepaid card have any money left? It will take about 4 dollars (temporarily) to verify the card.

If you have used up all your funds, then you cannot verify the card and will just have to wait 7 days.

Used the entire 100, guess i gotta wait a week, is there anyway i can use 4 dollars from my paypal?

No, the way it works is in order to verify that you actually own the card in question, they temporarily charge two small amounts (between 1 and 2 dollars each, random) to the card. Then you have to log into the card holder's account and tell Steam what the two charges are.

The charges are temporary, but must be made to the card you are trying to verify, not another payment method.

The authorizations are not a payment and will never leave the pending state nor will they cost you money. The authorizations will automatically expire, but the time it takes for them to expire depends on your bank.

Right, what Tirith said is exactly the same thing as what you quoted from the website. Nothing Tirith said contradicts what the website is saying.

What they are saying is, although it won't take your money off the card, there still needs to be an available balance for it to work.

Here in Australia there is a store named woolworths from here you can buy pre-paid cards. I got one for christmas with some money on it so naturally i added some of it to steam.Then i was blocked from the steam market. Then after i wasnt blocked anymore i tried to add the rest and was blocked again. And when i check the card there are no pending purchases for me to verify. So ♥♥♥♥ steam and ♥♥♥♥ Wooloworths.

P.S I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pissed right now cause i can't spend my own ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ money!
