Can't Find Friend?

I simply can not find my friend's account, which was just recently made. Is there some sort of trick to the Steam Community Account Search I'm missing here? Or it it just stupid?

The search function is said to not be so good. Share URL's with each other. That seems to be the best way or give him the link to this thread and he can find you that way by clicking on your avatar here.

What do you mean ? Are you saying that will not work for you ? Or just saying that it is a bummer because the search function is said to not be so good ?

I can't find my friend either. We both have public profiles and we both have bought the game through steam. It says "there are no users that match your search."

That didn't work. I tried with our URLs and real names and steam profile name...so frustrating LOL. But I could click on her avatar above and I could click the add friend button.

If you can't add friends, have your friend post a message on this forum. Find their post and click on their name. I'm so happy it finally worked. Thanks!

The account needs to be valid, meaning something like $5 USD needs to be spent from that account before it can have the same privileges as other valid accounts.
