Is it possible to get a GOG game code converted to Steam key?
I have a game code from GOG (through a purchase). I understand yes GOG is drm free but I do not care I prefer to have it through steam. The code is not used yet, is it possible to talk to GOG customer service and get a steam key instead. It its for Witcher 3 Wild Hunt game.

You need to ask the GOG Customer support regarding this but does it really matter where you play your game?

No they won't do that, someone asked this on the GOG forums and the answer was no.

You'd have to talk to the publishers.

Simple answer is "No". More complex answer is "No, you can not". Though you can ask a refund as the game is not released yet, and it should go through.

I think if at all you need to talk to the publisher abut it, and see if they agree to also give you a Steam key
No reason to change the GOG game i think

I had the same problem but had no luck trying to change it to Steam. It took two days to download the GOG files to install the game and then they won't work for they say they are corrupted. There is a very good reason to use steam for this....Steam always works...no B.S. I have to work for a living, I don't have time to mess with downloading 7 individual files twice. With steam, you just say, get it and come back later...it is ready ta go! Gog should offer disks the way they do things, it would be quicker for me to wait for the post office to deliver it.

and their downloader literally only downloads at under 1 Mb/s no matter how good your internet is.....

I've saturated my connection with GOG Galaxy at 3MB/s downloading Witcher 2. So it's not an issue wiht GOG's servers. They can push the data to you.
