Steam game (Killing floor 2) won't launch. Please help. (Missing executable)

I purchased Killing floor 2 recently and have been wanting to play it. However, after installing it it won't launch. steam tells me "Failed to start game (missing executable)". I have tried many of the fixes for missing executables, but they haven't worked. can anybody help?

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥! After tweaking with it for literally hours and hours I figured out my version of the problem. This may not work for you, as many different solutions have helped different people.

Solution: Go into the directory for Killing floor 2 (C:/program files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/common/killingfloor2/Binaries/Win64/). Find "KFGame" and right click it and go to properties. After this go to the compatibility tab and check the "run as administrator box" and the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and chose Windows 7.

This solution worked for me let me know if it worked for you.

I got this error when trying to load the game on a junk desktop for fun. I agree with Satoru that it's likely 32 bit OS which is unsupported.

bought this when it went on sale 3 days ago and it did the 1st time setup then would not load.. would say i was playin for about 2 seconds then nothing... I tried every fix i could find for 3 days and nothing UNTIL this thread about a program that basically shows you what nodes or w/e u want to call them is needed to play the game, it was the biggest bunch of bs i ever had to deal with to get a game to work but it worked. basically a bunch of us are missing files for the thing to work. Thanks Satoru. I was being dumb and yes I was on a 32 bit system. I now have 64 bit and it works fine. Also my computer has been broken for about 2 months. But thanks again
