Issues with uploading Youtube videos
So I Was doing some lets plays and thought it would be fun to put them up on the community page. So I followed the instrutcions and linked my youtube account. But theres one issue. When I bring it up it tells me I have no videos in my account. I have multiple youtube studios. I have my main one where I just surf and talk and I have my secondary one where I upload all teh vides. Does anyone know how to put those up or switch studios or anything like that?

I know the videos are all set to public. At least I think. If anyone knows how to make sure they are I'd be happy to try that too.

Also this is the message it gives me:

You are only able to add YouTube videos that are public visibility, allow embedding, and that show up in a username search for your username. If you just now set a video to public in order to link your account, it may take some time for YouTube to index and it to show up in search results.

Thanks in advance.

I have the same message. I had uploaded a bunch of videos in the past and they worked, but looking today I get the same message you do. So our settings are good I would suspect. Steam must either be buggy, or one of the two sites changed the settings so they conflict now and don't show our videos.

I uploaded some videos directly, and posted them directly to Steam in the past as content and even those aren't showing up on Steam anymore either. So it's not just my Youtube videos not showing up form my Youtube account.

Same here. Steam doesnt show the videos i have on my youtube channel, although all settings (public, embedding) are correct.

It works for me now, videos show up. Guess just some delay on it.

Not for me. Now it lets me select one 3 minute long video about device support as what I can upload. I've got like 150 half hour plus videos.

Does yours work in a browser at all using Steam that way to access your content? I didn't try that. If it does it means it is a client bug obviously. If some people are getting theirs to work now restarting Steam so it can download a patch might be what is needed. I didn't check mine yet to see if it works now.

EDIT: My videos are showing up again too.. Try restarting Steam so it will reset/, or download whatever they changed today.

I restarted the Steam client and my YT videos are still not listed. Any idea how to solve this?

t will fix itself eventually. Basically the same as everything else on Steam. Just wait and hope it goes away. LMAO

I am assuming that this is an issue on and off? I am having issues uploading videos now. I can see them just fine to upload to steam, but when I click add, it does nothing but refreshes the screen as if I did nothing. I have tried on multiple computers/operating systems/browsers , and within the steam application is anyone else still having this wonderful issue? Is there a newer thread addressing this issue if it is not just me ?

Sadly I'm not aware of a newer thread. At some point someone told me it was probably due to youtube updating so often. I havent responded in this thread in a while becasue for me the issue seemed to go away. So in the end I think the basic answer is:

Yes this seems to be an on again of again issue due to youtube's site changes. (which they are entiteld to change formats and layouts as often as they like it is their website after all)

At the same time I've never seen anything confirming this or not. If you want my advice, wait a while. Then try back in a week. If it works, then it works. If not, give it another week and do the same thing. If it doesnt work then, well, try digging deeper into it

I dont know if taht was helpfull but I hope so and I hope video uploads starts working for you soon.

So I tried something that I read in another thread today. After selecting videos and associated game, click the add video button alot of time continuously, i know it sounds crazy but it got my video to upload. I am going to try it again later, and hopefully it will work again. Thank you ArticRonin!
