either way, there have been suggestions on this from other people (such as being able to buy games more expensively to make sure that they're region unlocked) and I really don't think that this is the right way to battle illegal keys :I
submitted a steam support ticket. Hopefully they'll respond soon.
This is a clear sign PC gaming is about to go back to the dark ages...i hope Valve clear this up and fix this for its users sakes...I for one will have two options after this...turn to the dark side or which back to Console gaming as at least then we have our rights as consumers to demand refunds and get real proper support for faulty games etc
Upto you Valve/Steam! I hope this gets resolved!
Would they rather keep selling games at a high rate or risk everyone pirating them? I am seriously disappointed about this!
Steam is almost more restricted than Consoles themselves at the rate there going...
Your library is fine, your purchases are fine, your future steam purchases are fine.
You may move tomorrow to a restricted region and you'll be able to play all your games fine.
Please refer and read the support article for the complete information:

From the article:
I usually do buy everything off of Steam but for example GTAV is more expensive than the next gen console version so why do i want to pay a crazy overkill price for it via Steam when other sellers are selling it cheaper...
Sadly i cant help but fall for whose genuine or not...I've shopped with GMG, G2A, CDKEYS, EBAY, AMAZON, ONLIVE, NVIDIA HUB, as well as many more retailers but its hard to know when its safe to shop when your now telling me most if not all retailers are selling meh steam keys/gifts just because Valve doesn't like it lol
You'd think we were pirates or something lol seriously why do we even bother with Steam mean there support is complete garbage...I lost access to my Steam account and it took Valve/Steam 32 DAYS to reply to my support ticket to tell me if was my fault my account was hacked even though i had Steam Guard enabled since 20010 LMFAO
I now have a Vac Ban against my account because someone messed with it and i cant get a single word from support as they told me they refuse to help and any further messages sent to them will result in being unread...
Ive also posted on other social media sites about this as its indeed disgusting...Anyways rant over for now...
Finally someone who knows the difference between the truth and the bs. Exactly. Those other sites are shady and sell bad keys. Thousands of keys sold by them have been locked becuase they were bad keys acquired through shady practices. Those aren't the proper prices of the games just because people like how cheap they are..... the higher prices you see in legit stores ARE the proper prices. Spending money on grey sites is not even supporting the industry....but scammers and criminals.
problem is, grey resellers sometimes are the only ones stocking some of the items. For example hunting down a digital copy of Guild Wars 2 gem card is a real pain, because I don't live anywhere near a game store and I wouldn't want to wait several weeks until the gem card would arrive via mail.
can't. With a Lithuanian card, living in UK means that I trigger all sorts of bells for Anet. And unlike GMG they don't allow me to just call them, contact support and varify my identity. Meaning that I simply can't puchase directly from Anet. Same with Origin actually. Except that Origin plainly told me "go and get an Origin pre-paid card, we can't fix it", while Anet's responce was "well... Tough luck. Get a new card".
or... More places could be told to stock specific cards or use multiple systems of payment. For example any place that uses Amazon Payments work great. Smite gems you can also get absolutely anywhere. Love getting it from Amazon mostly. Also why not stock digital products in codes? Or use steam wallet for more things? Respect Rift for allowing me to pay trough steam. Very handy.
Places aren't told to stock anything. They choose to stock something or they don't. It is up to the store. If they want to do it, great. If they don't, oh well. The most you could do is put in a request for a store to stock this or that. But they don't have to do anything.
DSi enhanced games and 3DS games are all region locked bro
