playing in the same house, on different comps on same internet.
Hi there, I am on a laptop, with a wireless netowork, and my other half is on his pc on his network. im on the wirelss network thats provided by my other halfs interent on his pc, We are both trying to play a co-op game together online, and we were told we had to install this program logmein in order to fix the issue we are having, which is we both cant connect to the same game lobby becasue we are on the same internet connection I guess.

so im wondering what this program does for that and how to do it, im new to all of this , no idea how to or what im doing in regards to this..

Id appreciate any help in this matter. \thank you very much

Stephanie.

The solution may vary by game, my brother and I are in this situation and have not ran into any specific issues like this.

What games are you attempting to play?

What? We have had 4 folks all on our network playing on the same server.

We are trying to play world at war- co-op zombies... we can both connect to a multiplayer game, but not a co op game... and i have tried everything suggested, its drving me nuts lol .

I would be very wary of that.

Not sure on how WAW multiplayer works but make sure you're connecting to the localhost.

Well I was told the reason we cannot connect to a private co-op game lobby is because we are in the same house, hes on his pc using the interent , and im connected wireless to the same interent in the same house. but i was told logmein would fix this issue and id have to change the ports or something, but its all very confusing and i have no idea what the heck im doing... im a 26 year old female i know jack about technical software stuff lol.. I just want to play together.

Are you trying to join someone else's server, or are you (or your boyfriend) creating a game and you (or he) trying to join that?

Who told you to use that to get it to work?

I've played Castle Crashers in the same house as my partner, so I'm sure it must be transferable to WAW.

hes hosting , and im trying to join... and we tried to join the same game lobby hosted by someone else, but when he joins it,,, it isnt even visible to me on my computer, again, was told becasue its we are on same interent connection in same house

but if he hosts and i try to join his lobby or vice versa it says not enough players to continue, or game is no longer available.

Are you sharing his connection or are both of you connected through a router?
RedSwan Mar 18, 2015 @ 6:23pm
he has a router,. but its wireless for the whole household, so i just connected to the netowrk with the password ,, so we are on the same interent , if im saying this right.

im using my laptop. and its a wireless router connected to his pc, so i just log in to the wireless connection.

No, I understand. I was just making sure you were not sharing his connection.

What happens if you host?

It's odd, my wife and I routinely play deathmatch, and coop with no issues.

if i host, it says the same thing...his end will say this game is no longer available... or not enough players to continue.
