Haven't logged into Steam in 2 years...now my games don't appear
SO...I had some games from awhile ago...that I wanted to play again. I haven't used steam in what it appears now about 645 days.

I log in with the username I recall using...I get in, and no games. I rack my brain on if I am using the wrong account. I do the account recovery for every email address I can think of...only one comes back...the one I am using...so I feel like it is the right one.

I do a member search for my username and only one profile appears.

I click on it and boom...all the games I was expecting to see...

But again, when I log into steam with that username I don't see them available

What am I missing?

Thanks,

Lee

Were they Free-To-Play; were they bought games? Did you buy them retail and activate them through Steam? Did you buy any through the Steam Store?

Can you name a few?

Edit: This one? http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198029797016

The account you posted this thread on, is: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197999458670

They're different accounts, if you bought Black Ops II / Mafia 2 / Metro 2033 on the Steam Store, you should find a receipt of it in your e-mail containing the Steam account login-name. If you bought it as a physical retail copy, you can contact Steam Support with it as ownership proof.

First, resort to this: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=4988-DHXV-7272

Sometimes users have had more than one account and often this can be the case so if you can remember if you have more than one account on Steam and therefore are logged into the wrong account here, then that could help too.

EDIT...I have actually went for over a year before also without logging into Steam but I only have one account and so all my games were there when I did finally log in so hope this helps.

Teutep...that is the one...those games I all bought via Steam except Metro...that was some facebook deal which I got for free.

I tried to search all my old emails for any references to any of the games but I couldn't find anything.

I am still a little confused how this could happen...how i could have two accounts with the same name.

I am guessing that other account is some how tied to an older email address...but none of the ones I tried came back with ever being used on Steam.

When I did a username search on talktolee it did send me an email to the correct email address...

OP is on the wrong account.

If you don't know the account name nor the e-mail address it's tied to, I'd contact Steam Support.

Since you've bought the 2 games from Steam Store, you should apply it as a proof of ownership in your Steam Support ticket. For more information on Proof of Ownership: Resort to this support article: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2268-EAFZ-9762

They are not the same account name. Only the same profile name. The account name is private and unique. No one can see it but the account holder when they are logged in. The profile name is public and can be the same across multiple accounts.

Check your email for the receipts from when you purchased your games. It should contain the real account name.

Thanks for the help and links...I did put in a steam support ticket with all the info I can find.

I don't have any records to provide for proof of ownership...so I will what options are available from the support staff...

Did you buy Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Mafia 2 from some other website then? (Virtual CD-keys)

(Although I'd not be surprised if Mafia 2 was part of the GMG / Golden Joystick -offer.)

I am a complete tool...TirithRR made it click...I was under the wrong assumption that the account name was what I was searching on...once i realized that it wasn't I knew what to try next...

Sorry for being a dumbA$$ but I got this figured out. I logged into that account and got it squared away
