Steam has put word out. The support page and their twitter have made statements on it.
Correct, I have nothing to do with the e-mail system of any service, but the issue is between two companies, not just one. If it was just Valve, then the issue would have been fixed by now. Even if Valve has filled out that form (we don't know one way or the other), it will still take time for MS to process it and make the changes to their system.
It isn't as simple as filling out a form, clicking a button and then everything works. If it was, you know how much spam would be able to bypass a services filter?
All anyone can do is be patient and wait for the process to go through.
You can't argue with the angered Steam masses Spawn. These are the same people ready to take Microsoft's word on the matter over Valve's. They see that Stream emails aren't working on their personal emails, therefore "it must be VOLVO'S perblem...fix naaaooowww!" happens.
The person you would've traded with might be more grateful for it ;)
I guess this might be a result from the email traffic related to steam multiplying exponentially after introducing the new confirmation for trades.
If you look at Hotmail's history, they also have issues with blocking legit e-mails from other companies. Hence why the issue can go both ways here.
Its a perfect trade for both of us. so ...
Valve has problems, sure. But this is Microsoft...the creators of the XBOX 360 that they knew was flawed when they initially released it, and it had an over 80% fail rate in the first year. The same company that illegally ran Word Perfect and NS Navigator out of business. The same company that release ME and Vista on us. The same company that refuses to merge its key activation DBs because they make more money by not doing so. The same company that can't produce a good secured server platform to save their lives.
If my choice is between trusting MS or Valve, I'm going with the obvious choice of Valve on this one.
Fixed??
I want the email from steam
Damn u volvo
