Steam Friendly Anti-Virus Programs?
As the title says...

I had a kasperskey subscription that just ended and they raised the price about.. 80.00ish for 3 pcs... (never had any issues vac authentication playing cs or anything... or playing h1z1)..

I am running a Toshiba Satelite, I5, Geforce GTX 770M on Windows 8.1

I've been using a trial of ZoneAlarm and it's been horrible even when I go to game mode to allow all processes and requests it still mucks up my h1z1 and I got 1 vac authentication already with it (For CSGO) it's a pain in the butt.

Does anyone know a list of friendly anti-virus/firewall programs that won't make all my games go crazy?... could be a pro version if it's no more then 50.00, free would be best.

Let me know!

Thanks.

MS Defender is free

Done.
Avast free is a good antivirus. You can even exclude if writing, reading, or executing files will be scanned.
So you can reduce unnecessary scans for things like steam.

Allways make settings when using security software.

Dont forget to enable the windows firewall, as this is just an antivirus.
If you want a two way firewall you need something else.

Kaspersky has a 40% discount when you renew it.

There are also discounts you can find else where too. For example: http://www.kasperskycouponcodes.com/

There is on for two years, five devices for $50 and one year, three devices for $40.

Wow this was ages ago I was suprised it's still up.

I ended up going with Avast, how ever it did enable a VAC Authentication numerous times on CSGO, but there are YT videos on all the commands to disable on command prompt to prevent that from happening.

TY tho for all the responses, and nice to see the topic pop back up 3 years later. :steamhappy:

Microsoft Security Essentials/Windows Defender and brain.exe is really all you need. Everything else is just an unnecessary hassle, causes problems and/or wants you to pay money.
