It's really not complicated, billing address is where you want to receive your billing, or etc that why it called billing address.

Do you collect your mail from somewhere else besides your home? If not then clearly billing address is going to be your home address.

It shouldn't be that different. If someone asked you where you lived, how do you answer? "Let me check my phone bill?"

There no reason to do a search on an address you already know, that like doing search where you park your car at your own home...

When you put in the address that the address will display, it doesn't change where you view it from, it changes when you make the changes, that how changes to address works.

Because of a number of reasons.

Some stores tend to focus more on certain markets, like the US. Others, like Steam, have to focus more on everywhere in the world.

And the software to "read" postcodes and zipcodes usually is something you buy from the relevant postal authorities. This is why when you purchase anything online you might find one vendor has this neat and easy system, others won't.

You may also find some sites won't even recognise your address especially if it's newer. I had this back in the early 2000s when I moved into a then 6 month old house, as certain vendors didn't update their postal software for years in some cases. A right pain getting stuff delivered.

It really isn't complicated though, once you're familiar with how this works.

Address, when not picked automatically through postcodes tend to be written like this:

First line: Housename, or housenumber followed by street name
Second line: Additional data that's usually optional like a particularly different region within a city that needs specifiying) - this is optional obviously
Third line: Town
Fourth line: Neighbouring or county town or city
Fifth line: POstcode.


That's it.

In fact, if you try to deviate from this, most software, even those without the mail service software implemented properly will tell you if you're putting the wrong stuff in the wrong line.
